Playing Peek-a-Boo

This last one cracks me up. I grabbed a shot of what it looks like just before Kai takes a spill. Okay, I know you're thinking I should have put down the camera and grabbed the kid, but it all happened too fast. I was in the process of clicking when he lost his balance. P.S... He didn't get hurt either.

Kai and Delia, BFF's

Here's a picture that I should have posted a few days ago. It was taken at the same get-2-gether that Kai was caught wearing Delia's sunglasses. These two kiddos are enjoying a lot of time together this summer. Delia's Awesome Aunt Danielle is getting married this weekend, so I will have many more photos of them as they act like little angels during the ceremony (fingers crossed)and then party animals as they boogie woogie on the dance floor.

~Our little guy is spying his handiwork. In desperation, I showed him how to shred tissues so I could have a few precious seconds to do a load of laundry.

~Kai is "running" over to Daddy to jump on him.


~Here Kai is laying his head on my foot as I take his picture. (He only stays in one spot for a second before scooting off so I always need to get the shots quickly).

One Cool Cat!

Here we see Kai sporting a lovely pair of Hello Kitty sunglasses. (No, they're not his, they belong to his friend, Delia.) I think the "cat eye" look suits him.


Kai is walking EVERYWHERE these days. He carries, drags, and pushes around all his toys until the room is rearranged. His new "trick" is to fill a small bowl with odds and ends and walk around, arm extended, without dumping them out.

This week, we were fortunate to get several boxes of toddler toys from Rob's friend. Kai has enjoyed playing with his plunder and is clearly focused on his play in this photo.

Kai just figured out how to pull his puppy around with him as he walks. He was initially struggling with the temptation to watch the doggie as he walked (with disastrous results), but now he has mastered this and proudly (and safely) walks his doggie all over the house.

Happy Fourth of July!

Busy boy

Today we took Kai on his first real outing since our return fro China. We visited a petting farm and as you can see, he thoroughly enjoyed himself. This little guy loves animals of all shapes and sizes. I also added in a couple of photos taken before bed last evening, shots from this morning before breakfast, and several from this evening. Enjoy.
